AIM Congress 2025 Announces Key Themes And Partners For Global Investment Discussions
Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade and President of AIM Congress, stated that hosting the AIM Congress in Abu Dhabi strengthens the UAE's role as a global hub for foreign direct investment (FDI) and trade. This event showcases the positive impact of foreign investments on sustainable growth and comprehensive development.
The 14th edition of AIM Congress 2025 was announced at a press conference held at the Emirates News Agency (WAM) theatre in Abu Dhabi. The event aims to attract over 25,000 participants from 180 countries, including 1,500 AI companies and 500 startups. More than 1,000 speakers will engage in over 350 discussion sessions.
AIM Congress 2025 will focus on eight key themes: Foreign Direct Investment, Global Trade, Startups and Unicorns, Future Cities, Future Finance, Global Manufacturing, Digital Economy, and Entrepreneurs. These themes cover sectors like smart agriculture, energy, infrastructure, finance, ICT, industry, medical tourism, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, logistics, water technology, tourism, and education.
The organising committee has introduced new themes on Global Trade and Global Manufacturing due to their growing importance for emerging economies. These additions ensure comprehensive discussions on current trends and challenges in the global investment landscape while maintaining sustainability standards.
The Global Trade theme will explore trends under the slogan "Digitizing the International Trade & the Sustainability and Transparency of Global Supply Chains." It aims to develop strategies to harness FDI potential and international trade for economic growth. The Global Manufacturing theme focuses on transforming manufacturing ecosystems with advanced technologies.
Under "From 4.0 to 5.0: Leveraging Industry & Bringing Advanced Factories to Life," this theme aims to enhance product innovation and operational efficiency. It contributes to business resilience by fostering innovation and creating new economic opportunities.
Digital Economy Focus
The Digital Economy theme highlights digital technologies' role in promoting a sustainable future under "Embracing Digital Transformation: An ecosystem of interdependent digital technologies for a sustainable and inclusive future." This theme underscores the importance of a secure digital future.
AIM Congress 2025 will host various events such as forums, workshops, high-level meetings, exhibitions, AIM Investment Awards, Startup Pitch Competition, Investment forums, AIM Incubator, and AIM Investment Fund.
Roundtable Meetings and Collaborations
Several key roundtable meetings will take place during AIM Congress 2025. These include Ministerial Investment RoundTable sessions focusing on tourism investment and stock exchanges. Central Banks RoundTable discussions will also be held alongside Unicorns RoundTable meetings.
AIM Congress collaborates with international organisations like UNCTAD and WHO to promote global economic growth. The event provides a platform for investors to explore opportunities for long-term partnerships that drive sustainable development.
Global Forums Participation
The congress will feature global forums such as the World Local Production Forum in collaboration with WHO. This forum involves over 5,000 specialists from 100 countries aiming to foster collaboration among policymakers and private sector leaders.
Since its inception in 2021, this forum has facilitated partnerships that stimulate high-quality local production worldwide. Other forums include UNCTAD's Trade Tech Forum focusing on countries like India and Japan while addressing regional dialogues across continents.
