Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of TRENDS, highlighted these points during a session attended by notable figures like Mauro Vieira, Brazil's Foreign Affairs Minister.

Dr. Mohammed Al Ali stressed the need for collaboration among think tanks to create opportunities and tackle challenges. He noted that such cooperation could lead to a more prosperous future globally. The international momentum around AI and increased investments were highlighted as crucial factors. AI Focus at Brazil-Africa Forum 2024

The World Bank report cited by Dr. Al Ali confirms digital transformation is advancing development in Africa. Enhancing digital inclusion for individuals and families is crucial for African nations to benefit from AI's current and future achievements. This transformation serves as a gateway to economic growth and improved living standards.

Dr. Al Ali also emphasised the UAE's significant role in boosting African nations' capabilities to develop infrastructure and harness modern technology. UAE investments, initiatives, and international partnerships aim to strengthen Africa’s digital economy, showcasing the country's commitment to supporting technological advancement.

The Brazil-Africa Forum 2024 focused on enhancing economic cooperation between Brazil and African countries, particularly in agriculture, renewable energy, and infrastructure. The event attracted high-ranking officials, decision-makers, researchers, experts, and officials who discussed various topics over two days of specialised sessions.

Agriculture received significant attention due to Africa's vast arable land and Brazil's expertise in agricultural production. Knowledge exchange in this field is vital for achieving food security across both continents.
