AI Creative Hackathon By Creator HQ And BytePlus Unites Global Innovators In Storytelling
Creator HQ, in collaboration with BytePlus, recently hosted the AI Creative Hackathon in the UAE. This event brought together a diverse group of AI creators and influencers from over 20 countries. The hackathon highlighted the potential of generative AI in storytelling, utilising BytePlus' innovative platforms, Seedream and Seedance. These tools allowed participants to craft complex visuals and narratives, showcasing the future of AI-assisted content creation.
Participants competed for US$50,000 in credits for Seedream and Seedance platforms, alongside US$9,000 in cash prizes. These rewards recognised exceptional innovation and artistic excellence. Throughout the event, creators generated hundreds of videos and thousands of images using AI, resulting in over 80 hours of unique visual content. This competition underscored the capabilities of advanced creative platforms in media production.

Long Li, General Manager at BytePlus MEA, expressed admiration for the innovative work produced during the hackathon. "The quality of content created by the community was truly exceptional," he stated. He noted that creators pushed the limits of Seedream and Seedance, enhancing product awareness while showcasing creativity and craftsmanship when advanced tools meet bold imagination.
Vivek Ganesh, Chief Technical Advisor at BytePlus, led the hackathon with hands-on mentorship and live coaching sessions. His expertise in prompt engineering and narrative design helped participants refine their skills to produce professional-grade outputs. This guidance was crucial in enabling creators to transform concepts into high-quality cinematic outputs swiftly.
Dr. Mohammad AlGhfeli, Managing Director of Creators HQ, remarked on AI's transformative impact on creative production. "AI is reshaping creative production at a fundamental level," he said. The collaboration with BytePlus demonstrated how powerful AI tools can unlock new storytelling forms and visual expression. The partnership aims to continue building capabilities across the region.
Winners and Their Achievements
Rabeea Hasan Sharif won the top prize of US$4,000 with a compelling story about happiness using both Seedream and Seedance. Mohammed Shafeeqe and Mamadou Abdelnaser secured second place with culturally rich stories inspired by Indian and African folklore, earning US$3,000. Rabia Celik and Jorge Sanchez took third place with Dubai-themed content that highlighted the city's vibrant character through generative AI.
The hackathon represents a pivotal moment in AI-driven creativity's evolution. It showcased how advanced tools combined with global collaboration are reshaping media production's future.
