AI Applications And Health Insights Presented By Experts At Saudi Falcons Exhibition
International falconry experts and specialists are showcasing a variety of scientific events at the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition. This event, organised by the Saudi Falcons Club, is taking place at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh. Running until October 12, it features workshops and panel discussions on falconry and falcon care.
A workshop titled "Modern Technologies in Falconry" was led by Ana Jitariuc, an Italian falconry expert and biotechnology researcher. She discussed how artificial intelligence (AI) is being used to judge falconry competitions. Giovanni Granati, another Italian expert, artist, and writer, highlighted AI's positive impact on falcon hunting, noting various modern technologies employed in the practice.

Mahmoud Hassanein from King Faisal University presented a workshop on adenovirus infections in captive-bred falcons. He stressed the importance of preventive measures against adenovirus and circovirus infections due to their health risks. Another workshop by Sherif Diab focused on supplements and additives that enhance falcon health and performance, particularly in races.
Jemima Parry-Jones from Britain's International Bird of Prey Centre led a session on falcon conservation. She emphasised the need for conservation efforts to boost credibility in falconry. Her presentation included case studies of successful transitions from traditional falconry to conservation projects.
The exhibition offers a platform for enthusiasts to engage with scientific content through 26 workshops, panel discussions, and dialogues about falcons' care and breeding. These events are conducted by speakers, trainers, investors, as well as local and international researchers in the field.
