Afforestation Technologies Forum Showcases Innovations For Environmental Sustainability At COP16

The International Exhibition and Forum on Afforestation Technologies is currently taking place alongside the COP16 Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification. Organised by the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification, this event has drawn a diverse audience, including leaders, officials, and visitors from around the world.

On its second day, specialists, researchers, academics, and entrepreneurs explored the exhibition's corridors. They were introduced to innovations in afforestation and environmental sustainability. More than 120 local and international entities showcased their advancements in key areas like "Future and Innovation," "Greening Oasis," "Nature Conservation," and "Sustainable Horizon."

Attendees were invited to engage with detailed presentations highlighting advanced agricultural technologies. These presentations also covered environmental conservation strategies and innovative systems developed by governmental bodies, corporations, universities, and non-profit organisations. The aim is to preserve nature and promote sustainability efforts.

Visitors expressed admiration for the exhibition's integration of advanced scientific methods and artificial intelligence (AI) in afforestation. This reinforced the theme "Green Horizon." The forum also highlighted Saudi Arabia's commitment to green development through strategic projects aimed at addressing global environmental challenges.

Held in the Green Zone, the exhibition serves as a collaborative platform for various stakeholders. Government agencies, businesses, scientists, financial institutions, NGOs, and communities are working together towards sustainable solutions aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
