AFC Dream Asia Foundation Welcomes Khalid Eissa And Noura Al Mazrouei As New Ambassadors

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has appointed Khalid Eissa, the goalkeeper of the UAE National Football Team and Al Ain FC, as an Ambassador for the AFC Dream Asia Foundation. Additionally, former UAE Women's National Team player and current coach Noura Al Mazrouei has been named an Ambassadress for the Foundation's Female Category.

Launched in 2017, the AFC Dream Asia Foundation serves as a platform addressing various community aspects. These include child protection, education, social inclusion, needs assessment, and support for projects of AFC member associations. The Foundation aims to foster positive change through football-related initiatives.

New Ambassadors for AFC Foundation

Khalid Eissa's selection acknowledges his exceptional performances with the UAE National Team in regional and continental tournaments. His consistent excellence with Al Ain FC and contributions to Al Ain's win of the AFC Champions League in 2024 were also key factors. Eissa expressed his delight at being chosen, calling it an honour for any player representing the UAE.

"It is an honour for any player representing the UAE," Eissa said. He highlighted the country's reputation for charitable work and humanitarian efforts. Eissa affirmed his commitment to working with fellow ambassadors from other national associations to convey a positive message to the Asian football community.

"My selection as an ambassador for women's issues is a responsibility that I take great pride in," she stated. Al Mazrouei pledged to do her utmost to fulfil her mission within the activities of the AFC Dream Asia Foundation.

Al Mazrouei emphasised the UAE's unwavering commitment to charitable and humanitarian work. "Our nation is a wellspring of compassion," she said, noting that the country's leadership actively promotes these values by extending a helping hand globally.
