AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 Unveils Visual Identity And Logo To Inspire Generations
The Asian Football Confederation and the Local Organizing Committee for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 unveiled the tournament’s official visual identity, signalling one year until the Kingdom hosts Asia’s leading national team competition and outlining a design that links Saudi cultural heritage with football ambition across the continent.
The logo and visual system were presented at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium in Jeddah during halftime of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026 final, supported by a short film titled "A Spark Over Asia," which follows a glowing spark through everyday moments and football emotions before it settles into the "Saudi Arabia 2027" emblem.

At the centre of the new identity is the official logo, which merges the familiar AFC Asian Cup trophy with stacked lines that recall Salmani architecture, a geometric decorative style specific to Saudi Arabia, while these terraces, influenced by traditional patterns and Sadu weaving, suggest balance, elevated structure and the elegance of established Saudi design traditions alongside the scale of Asian football.
The broader visual language builds on this foundation through artistic motifs drawn from Salmani buildings and long-practised Saudi crafts, intended to echo openness and hospitality, while a symbol based on the trophy has been reworked as a flexible graphic that can appear across many branding uses, supported by a colour palette inspired by varied Saudi landscapes to lend a modern and distinctive appearance.
Organisers state that the tournament branding underlines Saudi Arabia’s identity, highlighting authenticity and a sense of confidence, while the logo is designed to put people and shared experiences at the centre of the competition, aiming to motivate young players and supporters across Asia by combining local heritage themes with the drama and energy of international football events.
AFC President Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa said: "The AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 is a landmark event that blends the sophistication of football with cultural depth. Today’s launch of the visual identity embodies the Kingdom’s heritage and modern dynamism, creating a tournament identity that will resonate widely across the continent and beyond."
The AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 is scheduled in three host cities, Riyadh, Jeddah and Al-Khobar, from January 7, featuring 24 Asian national teams contesting what the confederation describes as the continent’s most prestigious football title and forming the 19th edition of the competition under the current AFC structure.
Together, the launch event, visual identity and film mark a key stage in preparations for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027, signalling how organisers intend to present Saudi culture, architectural traditions and hospitality alongside elite Asian football on home soil when the tournament begins.
