AFC Asian Cup 2027 Brand Identity Unveiled In Saudi Arabia To Inspire Asian Fans

The new visual identity for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 was revealed at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, during the AFC U23 Asian Cup final between Japan and China, signalling a major milestone less than a year before Asia’s leading national team tournament begins.

Asian Football Confederation President and FIFA Senior Vice President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa attended the ceremony and underlined the importance of the announcement for Saudi Arabia’s preparations, describing the launch as a fresh phase in the Kingdom’s path to hosting Asia’s top continental showpiece.

Al Khalifa expressed strong confidence in the newly presented brand, which is designed around a people-focused concept that connects culture and elite competition, and places the host nation’s character at the centre of the story for players, fans, organisers, and partners across Asia.

He said: "The AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ will be an exceptional celebration of football and culture, and today’s unveiling marks a pivotal milestone in bringing this vision to life. It reflects the Kingdom’s heritage and modernity at the same time, and highlights the inspiring character of the tournament. We are confident it will resonate widely with our passionate fans in Asia and beyond."

The AFC worked closely with the Local Organizing Committee to shape the new identity, which aims to inspire upcoming generations of Asian footballers and supporters. The design approach focuses on confidence, energy, and modern appeal, while still reflecting Saudi Arabia’s cultural roots and the unifying spirit of football across the continent.

At the core of the identity sits the official emblem, pairing a bold wordmark with a trophy symbol that draws on stepped Najdi geometry, an architectural and decorative style specific to Saudi Arabia, long present in engraved motifs, Sadu textiles, and regional ornaments, where it suggests balance, rhythm, and a distinctly Saudi interpretation with an Asian link.

Surrounding the emblem are supporting patterns taken from Najdi architecture and traditional Saudi crafts, chosen to express hospitality and openness, which are central values in Saudi society. The trophy icon also functions as the main graphic device of the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 identity, forming a flexible system that can adapt across different digital and physical applications.

The colour palette comes from Saudi landscapes and mixes harmonised tones to maintain clarity and consistency. These colours help distinguish the tournament brand while keeping a modern appearance suitable for global broadcast, digital platforms, merchandise, stadium dressing, and fan-focused activations connected to the competition.

The unveiling ceremony also included a short film titled "Spark Across Asia," which follows a glowing spark through everyday settings and football scenes across the continent, symbolising anticipation, unity, and shared passion, before the spark finally transforms into the Saudi Arabia 2027 emblem on screen, linking the narrative directly to the new visual system.

The brand is led by the idea of "Saudi uniqueness," presenting the host country’s authenticity and identity within an Asian context, while the guiding theme "Designed to Inspire Asia’s Generations" places supporters and communities at the centre, positioning the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 as a continental meeting point for culture, ambition, and high-level football.

The tournament is scheduled to run from January 7 to , with 24 men’s national teams from across Asia competing for the region’s most important football title in three Saudi host cities, supported by new and upgraded facilities aimed at delivering a comprehensive experience for players, officials, and visiting supporters.
