ADX Launches Market Intelligence Lab At Liwa University To Enhance Financial Education And Skills

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) Group has launched a financial and investment training lab at Liwa University. This initiative aims to enhance financial education, prepare students for the finance industry, and support Abu Dhabi's economic growth. The "Market Intelligence Lab" offers students access to ADX’s real-time trading environment and financial data, providing practical experience in trading and investment strategies.

More than 800 students are expected to benefit from this lab. They will gain exposure to real-time trading data and simulations, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Students will develop skills in market analysis, portfolio management, and risk management using ADX’s market infrastructure.

Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi, Group CEO of ADX, emphasised the importance of financial literacy for a resilient economy. He stated, "At ADX, we believe that a society informed about finance is the foundation of a resilient and inclusive economy. Financial literacy empowers people to plan, grow, and protect their futures." This partnership with Liwa University is part of broader educational initiatives across Abu Dhabi.

Professor Mohamed Mahjoub Dhiaf, President of Liwa University, highlighted the lab's role as an innovative educational platform. He said it allows students to experience real trading environments and develop advanced skills in line with professional standards. ADX runs an extensive programme across Abu Dhabi that includes workshops with brokerage firms and campaigns like ‘Understanding Financial Investment.’ These efforts complement partnerships with academic institutions such as the Zayed Center of Excellence for Financial Research. Students participate in research competitions on topics like market performance and risk assessment.

The ADX 2.0 Virtual Trading Platform offers a realistic environment for thousands to learn about trading through simulations. These initiatives demonstrate ADX’s commitment to creating an inclusive investment environment while supporting Abu Dhabi’s vision of sustainable economic diversification.
