Advanced Technologies Enhance Service Efficiency For Worshippers At The Grand Mosque

The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has developed a comprehensive digital framework to boost service quality and efficiency for worshippers. By leveraging modern technology, they aim to provide seamless access to services for Umrah performers, worshippers, and visitors. This strategy aligns with the digital era, supported by skilled employees who ensure high-quality performance.

During 1446 AH, the authority's digital portal introduced 217,000 words of translated content across 2,512 pages, along with 240 visual and audio materials in seven languages. These efforts cater to pilgrims' needs. Eight digital services were launched to benefit 3,619,608 visitors. These services include booking systems that enhance user experience and gather feedback from beneficiaries.

Enhancing Worshipper Services with Technology

Among the newly introduced services are a unified transportation system for the two holy mosques and a central reporting mechanism. Additionally, five seasonal digital services were rolled out, benefiting 1,248,423 applicants. These services facilitate applications for itikaf, iftar permits, seasonal job permits, and access to sermons at the holy mosques.

The authority has also implemented eight institutional systems to aid digital transformation. These include platforms for volunteering, technical support portals, project management tools, innovation hubs, internal communication channels, unified access systems, and operational compliance frameworks. Advanced technologies have been used to develop computer vision and crowd management systems linked to 2,500 cameras and five crowd management systems.

Integration with government entities is another focus area to improve user experiences through smart applications like Nusuk and Tawakkalna. This integration ensures data governance while enhancing service delivery efficiency.

Cybersecurity Measures

Nine advanced cybersecurity systems have been introduced to protect digital data effectively. These systems are backed by 17 technical and operational standards that maintain the quality and security of digital infrastructure. The authority has implemented 13 detailed procedures to regulate technical processes alongside three main plans addressing digital threats and emergencies.

A total of 19 policies have been approved and published to guide these efforts further. The authority also managed 12,723 seasonal reports during this period.

The comprehensive approach taken by the General Authority aims not only at improving service delivery but also ensuring that all operations comply with organizational regulations efficiently.
