ADREC Collaborates With Partners To Advance Blockchain Technology In Abu Dhabi's Real Estate Sector
The Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC) has formalised a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with several key organisations. These include the Technology Innovation Institute, VentureOne, Finstreet Limited, ADI DLT Foundation, and Advanced Real Estate Services. This agreement aims to integrate blockchain technology into Abu Dhabi's real estate sector, enhancing transparency, efficiency, and security in transactions and services.
Each entity involved will retain its operational independence while contributing unique resources and expertise. This collaborative approach aligns with Abu Dhabi’s strategy to identify opportunities that drive economic impact in real estate. The focus is on leveraging strategic enablers to unlock potential within the sector.

The MoU sets a framework for exploring blockchain applications to transform real estate operations. Pilot projects will target areas like property registration, title validation, transaction management, shared ownership models, and digital asset integration. These initiatives aim to boost efficiency, reduce processing times, and streamline processes while adhering to regulatory standards.
Eng. Rashed Al Omaira, Acting Director-General of ADREC, stated: "This strategic partnership marks a pivotal step in our journey to position Abu Dhabi as a global frontrunner in real estate innovation. By harnessing blockchain technology, we are establishing a foundation for property transactions that are transparent, efficient and reliable, delivering value to investors, residents and the broader real estate ecosystem."
Al Omaira further noted that this collaboration underscores their commitment to adopting advanced technologies that elevate service standards and reinforce market trust. The long-term vision includes optimising asset management and enabling cross-border transactions. Enhancing data interoperability across government services is also a priority.
The integration of blockchain with existing property databases and digital identity systems will improve data accuracy and speed up transaction workflows. This initiative offers greater visibility into ownership records, fostering trust across the market by ensuring transparency.
The collaborative model reflects Abu Dhabi's strategy of identifying key opportunities for economic growth in real estate. By focusing on strategic enablers, the initiative aims to strengthen the sector’s fundamentals and accelerate Abu Dhabi’s leadership in real estate digitalisation.
This partnership is expected to deliver significant benefits by aligning with international standards. It seeks to enhance operational efficiency while simplifying processes within the real estate landscape of Abu Dhabi.
