ADNOC Sports Tournament 2025 Concludes With Over 2,000 Participants Promoting Health And Community Values

The ADNOC Sports Tournament 2025 wrapped up on Wednesday after three weeks of activities. Organised by ADNOC with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and ADNEC, the event was themed "Energy for Wellbeing." It attracted over 2,000 participants, including ADNOC employees, their families, and partners. The tournament took place at various venues like Abu Dhabi Summer Sports at ADNEC, Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, and Al Forsan International Sports Resort.

More than ten sports were featured in this year’s edition. These included football, basketball, volleyball, handball, jiu jitsu, chess, padel, women’s volleyball, and shooting. Age-specific competitions were held to encourage wider participation. Traditional Emirati sports such as camel racing, falconry, and Al-Mutarah were also part of the event. This inclusion highlighted ADNOC's dedication to promoting national identity and pride in the UAE's cultural heritage.

ADNOC Sports Tournament 2025 Concludes Successfully

The tournament saw attendance from notable figures like Sheikh Zayed bin Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Hamdan bin Saeed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan. Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO; Dr. Sultan Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs; Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri from ADNEC Group; Talal Al Hashemi from Abu Dhabi Sports Council; senior ADNOC executives; and former UAE National Football players were also present.

Talal Al Hashemi expressed pride in partnering with ADNOC for this unique sporting event. He stated: "We are proud of our partnership with ADNOC in organising a unique sporting championship that contributes to promoting the values of health, fitness, and social cohesion, in line with the objectives of the UAE’s Year of Community." His words underscored the event's alignment with broader community goals.

Since its inception in 1994, the ADNOC Sports Tournament has aimed to unite communities through sports. It supports ADNOC's mission to enhance wellbeing and inspire national pride through athletic engagement. The tournament continues to be a platform for fostering community spirit while celebrating cultural heritage.

This year's tournament successfully combined modern sports with traditional Emirati games. By doing so, it reinforced a sense of unity among participants while celebrating the rich cultural tapestry of the UAE. The inclusion of diverse activities ensured that there was something for everyone involved.
