ADNOC L&S Implements AI-Powered Smart Port Solution To Enhance UAE Petroleum Operations

ADNOC Logistics and Services has introduced the first AI-driven Smart Port Solution in the GCC, aiming to enhance petroleum port operations. This technology optimises resource allocation and allows real-time monitoring of marine activities, boosting operational efficiency and reducing costs. The solution is implemented across ADNOC L&S’ petroleum ports in the UAE, promoting sustainability.

The AI solution, crafted by Innovez One, a prominent provider of port management information systems, significantly reduces vessel turnaround times by up to 90%. It cuts service sourcing time from three hours to just 45 seconds. This efficiency saves approximately 3,000 hours annually and is projected to yield $950,000 (AED3.5 million) in operational savings by 2028.

Captain Abdulkareem Al Masabi, CEO of ADNOC L&S, stated, "The deployment of the smart port solution across our petroleum ports in the UAE underscores our commitment to harnessing AI as we continue to invest in innovation to optimise our operations and drive further value for our business and customers." The solution also enhances jetty utilisation by 20%, leading to a 10% improvement in vessel management.

This advanced AI technology is now operational at key ADNOC L&S petroleum ports such as Das, Zirku, Mubaraz, Ruwais, and Jebel Dhana. It strengthens the company's leadership in digital transformation within the energy logistics sector.
