ADNEC Group Updates UAE Diplomats On Preparations For IDEX And NAVDEX 2025 Events

The ADNEC Group recently convened a meeting with diplomatic representatives and military attachés accredited to the UAE. The purpose was to update them on preparations for the 2025 editions of the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) and Naval Defence & Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX), alongside the International Defence Conference. These events, under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, are organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council.

Scheduled from 17th to 21st February 2025 at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, this edition is set to be the largest ever. It will gather a wide range of local, regional, and international participants, including top global companies in defence industries and advanced AI technologies. This highlights significant advancements in this crucial sector.

ADNEC Group Prepares for IDEX and NAVDEX 2025

Major General Staff Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee, expressed pride in working with ADNEC Group for this exceptional edition. He stated that it reflects the UAE's vision to become a global hub for defence industries. "IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 enjoy unwavering support from our wise leadership, which strives to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development," said Al Mazrouei.

Al Mazrouei further noted that over three decades, these exhibitions have positioned the UAE as a key player in global defence. The 2025 editions aim to drive advancements and innovative solutions for both regional and international defence sectors. He emphasised that defence industries are crucial enablers of global security and sustainable development.

Major General Staff Pilot Mubarak Saeed Ghafan Al Jabri, Deputy Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee, highlighted IDEX and NAVDEX's role in advancing defence industries. They foster strategic partnerships that boost growth regionally and globally. The exhibitions showcase cutting-edge innovations by bringing together experts from six continents.

He added that hosting leading global companies offers opportunities for strategic partnerships between Emirati and international organisations. These collaborations enhance the UAE's position as a hub for advanced defence technologies while showcasing Emirati capabilities internationally.

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group, remarked on organising these prominent events. He said it underscores ADNEC Group's commitment to strengthening Abu Dhabi's position as a global hub for defence industries. Over its 32-year history, IDEX has evolved into one of the world's largest defence events.

To date, announced deals have exceeded AED175 billion, highlighting their role as a platform for long-term agreements. Al Dhaheri stated that IDEX and NAVDEX have established Abu Dhabi as a centre for defence industries, fostering cooperation and innovation while contributing significantly to the national economy through investments and job creation.
