ADNEC Group Achieves Historic AED 8.5 Billion Contribution To UAE Economy In 2024

ADNEC Group has achieved its highest economic impact, contributing AED8.5 billion to the UAE economy, surpassing the AED7.4 billion from 2023. This achievement underscores the group's significant role in fostering economic growth and supporting the UAE's goal of a diversified, knowledge-based economy.

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group, stated: "2024 has been a landmark year for ADNEC Group, marked by exceptional achievements across all sectors of our business. These milestones are a direct result of the sustained support of our wise leadership, whose guidance enables us to continue contributing to Abu Dhabi’s economic growth and global prominence."

ADNEC Group's Record Contribution to UAE Economy

The acquisition of Royal Catering and the Business Design Centre in London expanded ADNEC's venue portfolio to four locations. This move strengthens their market presence and highlights their commitment to delivering outstanding results across key business areas. Sustainability was also a focus, with ADNEC winning the Sheikh Hamdan Environmental Award.

ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi became the first MICE venue in the Middle East powered by clean energy from Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC). This sets a new standard for environmental leadership in the region. The launch of TerraTile, a sustainable flooring product made from exhibition waste, further demonstrates their dedication to sustainability.

In 2024, ADNEC venues hosted over 1,000 events with more than 5.4 million visitors, marking a record high. The ExCeL London expansion increased its size to 270,000 square metres. ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi hosted major events like the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show and Global Food Week.

Capital Events facilitated over AED10 billion in deals at eight events, solidifying its event management leadership. ADNEC Hotels welcomed 1,531,000 guests while Capital Catering delivered 40 million meals across 45 locations and catered for 2,200 weddings and events.

Tourism and Media Ventures

Tourism 365 managed 350,000 travellers generating 250,000 room nights since its inception. Twofour54 launched two advanced TV studios at Yas Creative Hub and supported 34 major Hollywood productions through Tawasol initiative. The group exited its investment in ZenHR with a remarkable 300% ROI.

Capital 360 Event Experiences had its most successful year due to regional expansion and key projects in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. These achievements highlight ADNEC Group's exceptional performance across seven core sectors: venues, events, hospitality, food and beverage, services, tourism, and media.
