ADJD Launches The Region's First Fully Automated Power Of Attorney Issuance Service

The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has introduced a groundbreaking service in the region by launching a fully automated Power of Attorney (PoA) issuance system. This digital Notary service aligns with Abu Dhabi's focus on digital transformation, offering smart, 24/7 services that allow users to complete transactions swiftly online.

Users can now issue PoAs instantly without human intervention, using pre-approved templates and receiving digitally certified documents. This eliminates the need for appointments or video calls. The service is accessible via the ADJD website through UAE Pass.

First Automated Power of Attorney Service in UAE

Counselor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Under-Secretary of ADJD, highlighted that this automated PoA issuance is a significant advancement in judicial services. It aligns with directives from His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aiming to improve institutional efficiency and streamline procedures.

This initiative accelerates service delivery and boosts Abu Dhabi’s competitiveness. The digital PoA service offers a simple and flexible experience for users to issue PoAs electronically without human involvement, ensuring high levels of digital security for authenticity and real-time verification.

The service encompasses various PoAs for individuals and entities, including general PoAs, litigation, follow-up transactions, inheritance and estates, shares, intellectual property, vehicles, attorney authorisation, signature verification, and automatic PoA cancellation. Users can add or remove authorities within approved templates in both Arabic and English.

Strict controls govern the system to ensure accuracy and integrity. Mandatory UAE Pass login and approved templates are required. PoAs are issued only to original parties and can be verified or canceled instantly without visiting any entity.

Streamlining Procedures

This new service supports efforts to streamline procedures and enhance government service efficiency. It represents a qualitative leap in providing users with a seamless experience while supporting the government’s aim to reduce bureaucracy.

The introduction of this automated system reflects Abu Dhabi's commitment to innovation in public services. By eliminating traditional barriers in legal processes, it enhances customer experience significantly.
