ADFD Commits AED 183.5 Million To Social Housing Project In Côte D'Ivoire
The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) has committed to funding the initial phase of a Social Housing Program in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. This phase involves building 25,000 homes with an investment of AED183.5 million (US$50 million). This marks ADFD's first project in Côte d’Ivoire, highlighting its dedication to sustainable development and expanding its influence across Africa.
The agreement was formalised by Mohamed Saif Al Suwaidi, ADFD's Director-General, and Bruno Nabagné Kone, Côte d’Ivoire's Minister of Construction, Housing and Urban Planning. The signing ceremony was attended by Robert Beugré Mambe, Prime Minister of Côte d’Ivoire, Vacaba Diaby, the Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to the UAE, and other dignitaries.

Al Suwaidi emphasised the partnership's importance in tackling housing issues for low-income families in Côte d'Ivoire. He stated, "This strategic partnership marks a transformative move towards addressing the housing challenges faced by low-income families in Côte d'Ivoire, reflecting our commitment to advancing international development cooperation."
Robert Beugré Mambé expressed his appreciation to the UAE and ADFD for their unwavering support of Côte d'Ivoire’s government initiatives. He noted that this financing marks the start of a strategic alliance between both countries, highlighting their strong bilateral relations. The agreement reflects a mutual vision to foster sustainable development and enhance cooperation.
