Agricultural Development Fund Partners With ICIEC To Strengthen Sector

In a significant move to bolster the agricultural sector, the Agricultural Development Fund (ADF) has entered into a strategic partnership with the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC). This collaboration was formalized through a memorandum of understanding signed during the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group Annual Meeting held in Riyadh. The agreement was inked by ICIEC CEO Oussama Kaissi and ADF Chief Strategy Officer Adel bin Abdullah Al-Jumaa, marking a new chapter in the enhancement of agricultural value chains within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and beyond.

The memorandum outlines a cooperative framework aimed at advancing mutual interests through strategic initiatives. These initiatives are set to encompass capacity building in Islamic insurance, alongside export credit insurance and foreign investment insurance, all tailored to benefit the agricultural value chain across ICIEC member states. Furthermore, this partnership seeks to deepen ADF's understanding of ICIEC's business model and services, while also encouraging collaboration with relevant unions and professional associations for professional development.

ADF-ICIEC Partnership Boosts Agriculture

Oussama Kaissi, expressing his views on this new alliance, stated, "Our partnership with the Saudi Agricultural Development Fund marks a significant advancement in our ongoing efforts to support economic growth through bespoke insurance solutions." He emphasized the commitment to fostering a comprehensive understanding of their insurance models and cultivating a collaborative environment. This environment is expected to yield tangible benefits for the agricultural sectors not only within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia but also across ICIEC member states.

This partnership between ADF and ICIEC is poised to play a pivotal role in enhancing the resilience and sustainability of the agricultural sector through innovative insurance solutions. By leveraging the strengths of both entities, this collaboration aims to facilitate economic growth and development within the agricultural domain, reflecting a shared commitment to supporting the sector's advancement in Saudi Arabia and other member states.
