ADAFSA Launches Enhanced Fodder Market Application To Support Livestock Breeders In The UAE

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has launched an updated version of the Fodder Market app, celebrating its first anniversary. Developed with the Abu Dhabi Government Services Centre (TAMM), this upgrade aims to enhance livestock sector efficiency by providing registered livestock owners in the UAE with quality feed at competitive prices.

The app serves as a comprehensive digital platform offering a variety of herbal and concentrated animal feeds. Users can order products, which are delivered promptly, and compare prices from different suppliers to secure the best deals. The app also provides secure and flexible payment options.

This application simplifies the purchasing process, allowing breeders to complete orders in under 15 minutes. It caters to over 40,000 breeders across the UAE and supports more than 5 million livestock. The app not only meets feed demand but also offers sustainable solutions for local feed companies to access markets.

The UAE's feed trade is valued at over AED 2.5 billion annually, with a volume of approximately 3 million tonnes. The "Fodder Market" app is expected to boost trade and promote fair competition among suppliers, contributing to market growth.

Saeed Al Bahri Salem Al Ameri, Director-General of ADAFSA, stated, "We are pleased to partner with the Abu Dhabi Government Services Centre (TAMM) to launch this innovative app, marking a milestone in the agricultural sector." He emphasised that the app aligns with His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan's vision for UAE food security leadership.

Al Ameri added that the app will significantly reduce time and effort for purchasing fodder, aiding breeders in making informed decisions and improving production efficiency. This supports livestock sector growth and development while promoting sustainability in agriculture through smart solutions.

User-Friendly Features for Easy Access

The app's user-friendly interface allows breeders to browse various fodder types easily, compare options, and add items to their cart. Users can create personal accounts to track past orders and access exclusive offers. The app connects buyers from all emirates with ADAFSA-accredited suppliers, supporting local economies.

Accessible via TAMM platform, the application streamlines ordering by price or type. Users can sort products by price or variety and classify them based on animal type or supplier. It also allows reordering of previously purchased items.

Comprehensive Product Information

The shopping cart feature displays selected items' total price and quantity alongside best-selling products. A search function helps find fodder products and discounts. Each listing includes detailed information like product name, packaging weight, origin country, ingredients, usage instructions, nutritional benefits, images, and similar item suggestions.

The payment page offers various payment methods along with order summaries before purchase. Delivery methods and supplier contact details are provided too. The application supports order confirmation, invoicing, and lists purchased items for user convenience.
