AD Ports Group And Columbia Group Launch Joint Venture To Enhance Ship Management Operations

AD Ports Group and Columbia Group have joined forces to create a joint venture aimed at enhancing vessel operations. This collaboration, named Noatum - CSM Limited, will leverage advanced fleet management systems to optimise both third-party and AD Ports Group's own ocean-going fleets. By combining Columbia Group's expertise in AI-driven performance analytics with AD Ports Group's extensive ship management experience, the partnership aims to deliver superior fleet management solutions.

The new entity will integrate ship management into AD Ports Group's Maritime and Shipping Cluster service portfolio. This strategic move provides third parties access to a world-class ship management system and team. The joint venture will immediately benefit from Columbia Group's Performance Optimisation Control Room (POCR), a sophisticated digital platform designed to enhance fleet performance through predictive maintenance and regulatory compliance.

New Joint Venture Enhances Ship Management Services

The POCR platform offers continuous live monitoring and decision support tools that optimise voyages, speed, bunker usage, and emissions. By collecting data from multiple vessels, the system empowers informed decision-making, improving operational and commercial performance. This integration of technology is set to elevate the efficiency of maritime operations significantly.

Captain Ammar Mubarak Al Shaiba, CEO of Maritime and Shipping Cluster at AD Ports Group, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. "This partnership symbolises a pivotal advancement in maritime asset management, merging the strengths of Columbia Group and AD Ports Group. As we expand our capabilities, we are benefitting our clients by elevating quality and efficiency," he stated.

Mark O'Neil, President and CEO of Columbia Group, highlighted the significance of this collaboration in setting new standards for maritime asset management. He noted that combining Columbia's global expertise with AD Ports Group's strong presence in the Middle East would drive operational excellence and innovation within the region's maritime sector.

Based strategically in the UAE, Noatum - CSM Limited will oversee day-to-day management while introducing comprehensive crew management, procurement, training, and other operational services. These efforts aim to ensure best-in-class asset management practices are maintained across all operations.

The joint venture promises to unlock a wide range of additional skills and capabilities for clients. By focusing on operational excellence, Noatum - CSM Limited is poised to enhance its service offerings significantly within the maritime industry.

This collaboration represents a significant step forward for both groups as they work together to improve quality and efficiency in maritime services globally. The partnership underscores their commitment to providing exceptional operational competency and expertise while strengthening their position as leading global maritime service providers.
