AD Ports Group And AVESTO Group Establish Tajikistan Logistics Joint Venture
AD Ports Group and AVESTO Group are creating a new joint venture to handle integrated logistics and freight forwarding across Tajikistan. The agreement gives the company a key role in Central Asia trade routes, supporting the Middle Corridor and linking land-based networks to European markets.
Under the Shareholder Agreement, the new entity will first operate as an asset-light freight forwarder. It will have exclusive responsibility for consolidating and managing all freight and logistics activities for AVESTO Group subsidiaries, while also offering logistics services to external customers across Tajikistan.

The joint venture ownership structure gives AD Ports Group a 51 percent controlling stake, while AVESTO Group holds 49 percent. The partners design the project to grow in phases, enabling long-term expansion in logistics operations and allowing both sides to scale services as trade flows increase.
AD Ports Group views this cooperation as part of its wider strategy in Central Asia. The company is expanding its Middle Corridor footprint to support east-west freight movement. The corridor will connect Tajikistan’s internal networks to routes crossing the Caspian Sea and then through Azerbaijan and Georgia toward Europe.
| Partner | Stake in joint venture | Key role |
|---|---|---|
| AD Ports Group | 51% | Majority shareholder, regional logistics expansion |
| AVESTO Group | 49% | Local industrial partner, cargo and client base |
AVESTO Group is one of Tajikistan’s largest private industrial groups and operates more than 30 major businesses and manufacturing facilities across several sectors. The company also works with eight international joint venture partners, giving the new logistics company immediate links to domestic and cross-border industrial clients.
Abdulaziz Zayed Al-Shamsi, Regional CEO of AD Ports Group, said that this partnership marks an important milestone in the group's continued expansion across Central Asia. Tajikistan’s growing industrial base and strategic location present significant opportunities for developing advanced logistics capabilities that support regional trade flows. "Through our collaboration with AVESTO Group, we aim to deliver world-class logistics solutions that strengthen the Middle Corridor and reinforce our position as a global trade enabler," he said.
Explaining the local impact, AVESTO Group General Director Muhamad Mirzo highlighted the wider regional vision for the project. Mirzo said, "Partnering with a global leader like AD Ports Group allows us to transform Tajikistan’s logistics landscape. Together, we are not just moving freight, we are building a modern strategic gateway that connects Central Asia to global markets and unlocks new economic potential for the entire region."
The transaction signals a strategic step for AD Ports Group as it deepens its presence in Tajikistan and the wider Central Asia region. By combining AVESTO Group’s industrial base with AD Ports Group’s global logistics expertise, the joint venture is positioned to support regional trade routes, enhance freight efficiency, and strengthen the Middle Corridor’s role within Eurasian supply chains.
