Empowering Emirati Youths: Abu Dhabi Launches Youth Business Council
The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry has introduced the Abu Dhabi Youth Business Council (ADYBC). This initiative aims to engage Emirati youths in economic development both locally and globally by leveraging their innovative ideas and creative skills. The Council, consisting of ambitious entrepreneurs, seeks to empower young Emiratis to achieve their full potential, thereby fostering growth in the private sector and promoting creativity and innovation.
Abdulla Mohamed Al Mazroui, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, emphasised the importance of youth empowerment in UAE culture. He stated, "Empowering the youth lies at the heart of the UAE’s culture, guided by the wisdom of our leadership, who recognise them as invaluable assets crucial for the advancement of all sectors." Al Mazroui highlighted that the ADYBC will be instrumental in preparing young talents with the necessary tools and knowledge to contribute to a sustainable knowledge-based economy by UAE Centennial 2071.

The ADYBC will consist of 18 members led by Mansour Abduljabbar Al Sayegh. Al Sayegh mentioned that the Council will focus on key areas such as empowerment, innovation cultivation, and sustainability. By listening to entrepreneurs' proposals and conveying them to relevant authorities, the Council aims to amplify their voices and ensure their projects' success.
Ahmed Khalifa Al Qubaisi, CEO of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, noted that launching ADYBC reflects ongoing efforts to integrate young people into Abu Dhabi's business community. He said, "The launch of the Abu Dhabi Youth Business Council reflects the Chamber’s continued efforts to empower and integrate young people into the business community in Abu Dhabi, acting as an incubator for their innovative ideas and visions." This initiative allows young entrepreneurs to present their projects, thereby enhancing their role in sustainable development.
The Council will also support projects that encourage sustainable practices benefiting the national economy. It aims to nurture and refine young leaders' skills in Abu Dhabi. By providing an ideal environment for business growth, it aligns with strategic goals to position Abu Dhabi as a top destination for business and talent in MENA by 2025.
Fostering Innovation
Operating under the Abu Dhabi Chamber, ADYBC will spearhead initiatives for young entrepreneurs. These initiatives will offer support needed to enhance their role in the private sector while promoting business growth and prosperity. Al Qubaisi concluded that these contributions would support efforts to create an ideal environment for business development.
Al Mazroui added that ADYBC would play a pivotal role in supporting private sector empowerment and enhancing entrepreneurship culture in Abu Dhabi. He stated, "The Council will play a pivotal role in preparing a new generation of young talents who are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to actively contribute to building a sustainable knowledge-based economy by UAE Centennial 2071."
