17th Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship To Feature Over 10,000 Athletes In November

The 17th Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship is set to take place in the UAE this November. Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, this event will host over 10,000 international athletes. It is recognised as the largest and most prestigious jiu-jitsu competition globally.

Abdulmonem Al Hashemi, who chairs the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation and holds key positions in both the Ju-Jitsu Asian Union and International Jiu-Jitsu Federation, expressed his gratitude to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his unwavering support for sports in the UAE. He also thanked H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed for supporting this significant global event.

Abu Dhabi Hosts Major Jiu-Jitsu Championship

The championship's official schedule has been announced by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation. The 11-day event will kick off with Amateur category competitions on 12th November. From 13th to 15th November, the Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Festival will feature events for infants, kids, and juniors, alongside Para Jiu-Jitsu contests on 13th November.

Youth and Junior categories are slated for competition on 16-17 November. Following these, Master events will occur on 18-19 November. The championship will culminate with Professional competitions from 20-22 November.

This year's championship marks its 17th edition, continuing a legacy of excellence that spans over 16 years. It strengthens its reputation as a premier global sporting event that combines elite athletic performance with cultural engagement. The championship aligns with Abu Dhabi’s vision of promoting sports as a lifestyle choice and fostering a healthy community culture.
