Abu Dhabi University Launches 17 New Programmes Addressing Global Challenges And National Priorities

Abu Dhabi University (ADU) is set to introduce 17 new academic programmes for the Fall Semester of 2025/2026. These programmes, spanning undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, have received accreditation from the UAE’s Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA). They aim to tackle global challenges and align with national priorities.

The new courses will cover key areas such as international relations, psychology, public health, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, cybersecurity, cyber law, fintech, intelligent systems, and digital transformation. This initiative reflects ADU's commitment to providing a multidisciplinary education that meets the evolving needs of society.

ADU Introduces 17 New Academic Programmes

Professor Ghassan Aouad, Chancellor of ADU, stated: "By embedding these disciplines into our curriculum, we reinforce our commitment to delivering high-quality, multidisciplinary education aligned with UAE priorities. These programmes equip students with the knowledge and competencies to lead in their fields and create meaningful impact."

At the undergraduate level, five new programmes will be available: Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Bachelor of Arts in Video Game Design, Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence, and Bachelor of Science in Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering. These courses are designed to prepare students for leadership roles in their chosen fields.

Additionally, eight postgraduate programmes will be introduced. These include Master of Science in Fintech, Master of Science in Strategic Digital Transformation, Master of Education in Educational Technologies and Artificial Intelligence, Master of Law in Cyberlaw and Artificial Intelligence. Other offerings are Master of Science in Public Health, Master of Arts in Digital Communication and Technology, Master of Science in Cybersecurity, and Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence.

Doctoral Programmes Expansion

For the first time across several colleges at ADU, four doctoral programmes will be offered: PhD in Law, PhD in Education, PhD in Intelligent Systems Engineering, and PhD in Engineering Management. This expansion signifies a major step forward for ADU's academic portfolio.

The introduction of these programmes highlights ADU’s role as a centre for innovation and academic excellence. It supports the UAE’s vision for sustainable development and a knowledge-based economy by enhancing research capabilities.

This strategic move not only broadens ADU's educational offerings but also strengthens its position as a leader in higher education within the region. The university aims to produce graduates who can contribute significantly to various sectors both locally and globally.
