Abu Dhabi University Strengthens Global Reputation With Third Consecutive EQUIS Accreditation

Abu Dhabi University's (ADU) College of Business has once again received accreditation from the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS). This recognition highlights the university's outstanding programmes and academic standards. ADU is now part of an exclusive group of 224 globally recognised institutions across more than 45 countries that have earned this prestigious accreditation.

This achievement marks ADU's third consecutive EQUIS accreditation, solidifying its status as a leading business school worldwide. The re-accreditation underscores ADU's commitment to maintaining high standards in business education. It ensures that graduates are equipped with essential skills and knowledge to thrive in both local and international markets.

ADU Secures Third EQUIS Accreditation

Professor Ghassan Aouad, Chancellor of ADU, stated, "At ADU, we remain committed to providing our students with world-class programmes that enable them to contribute to the development of the UAE's growth and economic development. The University's College of Business continues to demonstrate excellence in education on a global level. This achievement serves as a testament to the faculty's continuous dedication and hard work in advancing the UAE's educational sector."

The EQUIS accreditation process involves a comprehensive evaluation of various aspects such as course quality, faculty expertise, academic services, international exposure, community impact, industry connections, corporate responsibility, and sustainability. EQUIS is considered the premier accreditation system for management schools and is awarded only to top-tier institutions like those at Oxford and Cambridge universities.

Professor Barry O'Mahony, Dean of the College of Business at Abu Dhabi University (ADU), expressed his views by saying, "Prestigious recognitions like these place ADU's College of Business at the forefront of global business education and further reinforces our commitment to shaping the next generation of business leaders."

Regional and Global Rankings

In addition to its double accreditation status, ADU's College of Business has been ranked as the top business school in both the UAE and Arab region. It also holds a position between 101-125 globally according to Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2024 by Subjects. This ranking further highlights its excellence in delivering quality education.

The re-accreditation by EQUIS not only enhances ADU’s reputation but also strengthens its role in setting benchmarks for business education globally. By consistently achieving such milestones, ADU continues to play a pivotal role in developing future business leaders who can contribute significantly to economic growth.
