Abu Dhabi To Host Prestigious MILSET Expo Science International In 2025

Abu Dhabi will host the MILSET Expo Science International (ESI) in 2025 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court. The event, organised by the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET), is scheduled from 27th September to 3rd October 2025.

The expo aims to exchange expertise and highlight top projects by creative students and aspiring future scientists from over 50 countries in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). The announcement underscores Abu Dhabi’s prominence in science, innovation, and creativity, as well as its capability to host major global events.

Dr. Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, Director-General of ACTVET, stated that the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan reflects the leadership's keen interest in this event. He said it aligns with UAE’s esteemed status among nations worldwide. "Winning the bid to host the Milset ESI 2025 is undoubtedly a testament to Abu Dhabi's leadership in organising specialised global conferences, major scientific events, and gatherings," he added.

Dr. Al Shamsi also highlighted that this event aligns with their strategic goal to nurture future innovators and creators. He expressed confidence that it will inspire students aspiring to be future scientists by allowing them to showcase their ideas and innovations. Additionally, it will provide a platform for knowledge exchange and enhancing international connections with delegations participating in STEAM fields globally.

The MILSET ESI 2025 is considered the largest event focused on scientific creativity for young aspiring scientists worldwide. It is an initiative of the International Movement for Leisure Activities in Science and Technology (MILSET), a non-governmental, non-profit youth organisation aimed at developing a scientific culture among young people through science and technology programmes.

Hosting MILSET ESI aims to reflect ACTVET’s commitment to encouraging more young Emiratis to pursue scientific fields.
