Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week serves as a yearly international meeting point that draws leaders, policymakers and technical experts who work on sustainable development in the UAE and worldwide, with the 2026 edition aiming to position Abu Dhabi as a key hub for cross-sector cooperation that delivers measurable climate and development outcomes.
The ceremony was attended by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council; Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, alongside Sheikhs, ministers, senior officials, heads of state, government representatives and specialists in sustainability.

Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026 is held under the theme "The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go," bringing together stakeholders from energy, finance, food, water and environmental sectors to explore how interconnected systems can be managed in a coordinated way, strengthen resilience to climate and economic shocks, and accelerate the delivery of practical, scalable sustainability solutions.
This year’s programme highlights emerging issues such as AI-enabled energy systems, new models for climate finance, and technologies that support food and water security, with organisers seeking to develop a global model for deepening cooperation between governments, investors, companies and experts so that integrated approaches produce clear, trackable impacts across different sectors and communities.
Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week runs until 15 January and includes a series of high-level meetings, forums and exhibitions at ADNEC, covering policy discussions, technology showcases and youth-focused activities that address clean energy, innovation, financing mechanisms, hydrogen, and climate-related opportunities and challenges in both advanced and emerging economies.
