Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025 Set For January 12-18 With Global Leaders Focused On Sustainable Development
Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2025 is scheduled from 12-18 January in Abu Dhabi. This event will gather global leaders to accelerate sustainable development and promote socioeconomic progress. As the first major event in the global sustainability calendar, ADSW 2025 aims to connect policymakers, business leaders, and civil society to explore pathways for a sustainable economy.
The theme for ADSW 2025 is ‘The Nexus of Next. Supercharging Sustainable Progress’. It will highlight how advanced technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), energy innovations, and human expertise can drive sustainable development. The event aims to unlock a potential economic transformation worth US$10 trillion. Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of Masdar, stated that ADSW 2025 will serve as a hub for global business leaders and policymakers.

ADSW 2025 will feature an engaging program with high-profile sessions, forums, partner-led events, and networking opportunities. The week begins with the annual IRENA Assembly on 12-13 January and the Global Climate Finance Annual Meeting on 13 January. The ADSW Opening Ceremony at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) on 14 January will set the tone for the week.
The ADSW Summit and Green Hydrogen Summit will bring together global leaders for discussions focused on collaboration, investment opportunities, and partnerships. The World Future Energy Summit remains a key event under ADSW, fostering business growth and knowledge sharing. In 2024, it featured 450 companies; in 2025, it will include an Innovation Hub showcasing over 55 entrepreneurs' breakthrough technologies.
The Women in Sustainability, Environment and Renewable Energy (WiSER) forum is part of ADSW 2025's agenda. It amplifies women's voices in sustainability debates. Additionally, the Youth 4 Sustainability (Y4S) Forum and Hub will engage 3,500 young people in a three-day program designed to empower them as climate leaders through innovation and action.
The Zayed Sustainability Prize will also host events during ADSW 2025. This includes its Awards Ceremony on 14 January and the Forum & Investor Connect. The prize honours those leading transformative change across categories like Health, Food, Energy, Water, Climate Action, and Global High Schools.

The Zayed Sustainability Prize has positively impacted over 384 million lives globally over its history by creating sustainable economic opportunities. It has improved access to affordable energy, safe drinking water, nutritious food, and quality healthcare through its initiatives.
