Abu Dhabi And Sharjah Collaborate On Judicial Advancements Through Digital Technologies
The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department recently hosted Dr. Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, Head of the Sharjah Judicial Department, and his team to discuss enhancing cooperation in judicial development. The focus was on digital technologies and innovation. Counsellor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, emphasised the significance of this visit for fostering collaboration.
Al Abri highlighted that this initiative aligns with His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan's vision. The aim is to integrate the nation's judicial institutions and boost the UAE's global legal competitiveness. Strengthening partnerships and sharing pioneering experiences are key components of this vision.

The department is committed to forming strategic alliances, adopting advanced technologies, and implementing international best practices. These efforts support development across sectors, reinforcing collaboration and upholding justice. They also contribute to social, economic, and security stability in the region.
During their visit, the delegation learned about the case management system at Abu Dhabi Commercial Court. They were briefed on various streamlined services offered by the department. An in-depth explanation of the judicial ecosystem and legal services was provided to them.
The visitors explored the department's 2024–2026 Strategic Plan. This plan includes key objectives and ongoing projects that utilise modern technologies and artificial intelligence. These innovations aim to enhance judicial service quality and efficiency.
At Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution, new initiatives have been introduced to improve access to justice. These efforts are designed to boost system performance and service excellence, ensuring better outcomes for all stakeholders involved.

The visit concluded with a tour of the department's main headquarters. The delegation was introduced to the Central Library’s services, which include a vast collection of publications and legal texts. This resource is invaluable for legal professionals, trainee judges, researchers, and practising lawyers.
The library houses encyclopaedias across legislative, legal, and judicial disciplines. It serves as a crucial resource for those seeking comprehensive legal knowledge and references in their professional endeavours.
