Abu Dhabi Police Unveil Comprehensive Security Plan For New Year’s Eve Celebrations Across The Emirate
Abu Dhabi Police have crafted a detailed security strategy for New Year's Eve festivities, working closely with key partners. This plan is designed to ensure public safety and smooth traffic flow throughout the emirate, reducing congestion.
The Traffic and Patrols Directorate within the Central Operations Sector is prepared to boost road safety by implementing necessary measures. They urge drivers to stay alert, follow traffic rules, respect speed limits, avoid mobile phone use while driving, and keep a safe distance between vehicles.

Major General Ahmed Saif Bin Zaitoon Al Muhairi, Director of Central Operations Sector at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, highlighted that a joint security plan has been developed. This plan focuses on protecting tourist spots, commercial centres, and traffic during the celebrations, ensuring public safety.
The Command and Control Centre within the Central Operations Sector has finalised its preparations for New Year's Eve. Brigadier General Nasser Sulaiman Al Maskari, Director of Operations Department at the Central Operations Sector, mentioned that Abu Dhabi Police have equipped their operations room with advanced technology and skilled personnel.
The Directorate cautioned against behaviours such as using party sprays recklessly or creating excessive noise. They appealed to the public to follow guidelines aimed at maintaining safety and fostering a positive environment during the celebrations.
In case of emergencies, community members are encouraged to contact the Central Operations Room by dialling 999. The police have ensured that their operation room is ready to handle any situation efficiently.
