Abu Dhabi Pension Fund Achieves Three International Awards For Excellence In Social Security Practices
The Abu Dhabi Pension Fund has been honoured with three Excellence Awards from the International Social Security Association (ISSA). These awards, part of the Best Practices in Social Security programme, highlight the Fund's innovative efforts in enhancing pension service quality and digital transformation. The awards were announced at the ISSA Regional Social Security Forum for Asia and the Pacific in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, attended by representatives from over 30 countries.
The Fund received special commendation for its initiatives in data quality and governance, a smart registration system, and a "Virtual Complaint" initiative designed to address issues before they arise. Additionally, it earned seven certificates of excellence for projects like digital services on "WhatsApp," a direct debit system, inspection processes, quality monitoring, and more. These initiatives demonstrate the Fund's commitment to leveraging technology to improve services.

The Fund's achievements reflect its dedication to adhering to global standards in social security management. It successfully passed the ISSA recognition program assessment, which evaluates compliance with international guidelines. This accomplishment underscores the Fund's commitment to delivering top-tier social security services to its customers.
During the forum sessions, Khalaf Abdulla Rahma Al Hammadi, Director-General of Pension Affairs at the Fund, emphasised the need for flexible social security systems. In his keynote session titled "Resilience and transitions: Optimising the positive impact of social security," he highlighted long-term strategies for addressing climate change and promoting sustainability.
Technological Advancements
Waleed Al Dhuhoori, Director of Information Technology at ADPF, presented an overview of their integrated technology ecosystem. He showcased how advanced technological solutions enhance institutional efficiency and service delivery. Meanwhile, Hind Al Marzooqi from the Customer Happiness Division shared insights on using technology and AI to improve pension services and customer satisfaction.
Khalaf Abdulla Rahma Al Hammad stated that winning these awards reflects their continuous commitment to improving pension services. He noted that these accolades affirm UAE’s leadership in social security practices both regionally and globally. The awards align with aspirations to elevate government service quality to international standards.
