Abu Dhabi's Strategic Partnership With Nova Sky Stories To Transform Cultural Storytelling Through Drone Technology
H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has overseen a strategic partnership agreement. This collaboration involves the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), Nova Sky Stories from Colorado, and Analog, an Emirati firm known for its expertise in physical intelligence and mixed reality.
The initiative aims to integrate advanced drone technology into large-scale storytelling, reinforcing Abu Dhabi's status as a global leader in cultural innovation. The project will feature synchronised drone performances that create artistic narratives across iconic locations, blending the emirate’s rich heritage with its dynamic future.
This groundbreaking initiative will introduce the region's first fleet of 10,000 light-show drones. By combining cultural narratives with cutting-edge drone technology, it promises to deliver immersive experiences. The project is set to redefine entertainment by merging tradition with modern technology.
Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of DCT Abu Dhabi, expressed enthusiasm about the venture. He stated, "By harnessing innovative technologies, we are finding new and immersive ways to share our vision and culture with the world. At the intersection of creativity and entertainment, this partnership with Nova Sky and Analog will challenge convention, raising the bar for what residents and visitors can experience."
Kimbal Musk, CEO and Co-Founder of Nova Sky Stories, highlighted their excitement about joining this partnership. He remarked on Abu Dhabi's leadership in embracing innovation through this initiative. "Nova empowers the world’s greatest artists and musicians to bring their art to the sky," he said.
Alex Kipman, Founder and CEO of Analog, shared his vision for transforming Abu Dhabi’s skyline into a storytelling canvas. He noted that they are creating holographic stories in the sky by combining tradition with next-generation technology. "At Analog, we exist to birth new realities," Kipman stated.
