Abu Dhabi Leaders And Citizens Pay Last Respects To Sheikh Hazza Bin Sultan
In a solemn gathering that brought together high-ranking officials and citizens, the United Arab Emirates bid farewell to Sheikh Hazza bin Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The funeral prayers were held at the Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed The First Mosque in Abu Dhabi, marking a day of mourning and remembrance for a notable figure in the UAE.
Among those who paid their respects were prominent members of the ruling family, including H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; and H.H. Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan. The ceremony was attended by several other dignitaries such as H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; and H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Also present were H.H. Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO); and H.H. Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan. The gathering underscored the unity and shared grief within the UAE community over the loss of Sheikh Hazza.
The attendees prayed for the departed soul, seeking divine mercy to grant him eternal peace in Paradise and to offer solace and patience to the Al Nahyan family during this difficult time. Following the prayers, the body of Sheikh Hazza was laid to rest at the Al Bateen cemetery in Abu Dhabi, marking the final rites of passage for a respected member of the UAE's ruling family.
This event saw a convergence of various figures from across the nation, including H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heros' Affairs; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Their presence alongside other dignitaries like Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Court, highlighted the widespread respect and admiration for Sheikh Hazza.
The funeral brought together not only members of the ruling family but also numerous officials and mourners who came to pay their last respects. It was a moment that reflected both the personal loss felt by those close to Sheikh Hazza and the collective mourning of a nation for one of its leaders.
