Abu Dhabi Mobility Partners With Japan Cooperation Centre To Enhance Smart Transport Solutions

The Integrated Transport Centre, known as Abu Dhabi Mobility, is collaborating with the Japan Cooperation Centre for the Middle East (JCCME) to enhance transport systems. This partnership aims to improve efficiency and sustainability in urban areas through advanced technologies. The initiative seeks to elevate the mobility experience by integrating innovative solutions into transport networks.

Abu Dhabi Mobility recently organised a workshop and field visit to showcase several projects in Abu Dhabi. These events facilitated knowledge sharing between the UAE and Japan. Participants explored innovative models for incorporating technology into transport systems, focusing on efficiency and environmental sustainability.

The workshop highlighted Abu Dhabi's leadership in smart mobility technologies. Key topics included electric vehicle charging, AI-driven traffic management, and wireless energy transfer. A site visit at Yas Island featured demonstrations of autonomous services like RoboTaxi and RoboBus, along with 3D-printed boats and marine transport innovations.

Abdulla Hamad Al Eryani, Acting Executive Director of Planning and Strategic Affairs at Abu Dhabi Mobility, emphasised the importance of this collaboration. He stated, "Our strategic partnership with the JCCME aims to enhance public transport systems and promote smart mobility. This collaboration reflects our deep commitment to innovation and the use of advanced technologies to improve the efficiency and sustainability of Abu Dhabi's transport networks."

The discussions during these events aimed to bolster global partnerships and promote technological innovation. In conjunction with these activities, an agreement was signed between Emirates Driving Company and Zenmov, a leading Japanese firm in mobility technology. This agreement supports integrating Japanese mobility solutions into Abu Dhabi's framework. It enhances the Emirate's leadership role in developing smart mobility technologies while expanding global partnerships.
