Abu Dhabi Mass Wedding Highlights Emirati Family Values At Qasr Al Hosn

Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a group wedding in Abu Dhabi brought together 101 Emirati grooms at Qasr Al Hosn. His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the reception, highlighting national efforts to support young citizens, ease marriage costs and reinforce the role of the Emirati family as a central part of community life.

During the event, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed congratulated all newlyweds and their relatives, wishing them lasting happiness and stability. His Highness noted that such collective weddings help reinforce social cohesion, back the stability of Emirati families and make marriage more accessible for young people, which in turn strengthens a cohesive society in Abu Dhabi and across the UAE.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed stated that President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s patronage of the group wedding, and continued backing for community initiatives, shows the great value placed on the Emirati family as the cornerstone of society. This support aligns with the directive to mark 2026 as the "Year of Family", which honours authentic Emirati values and recognises the family’s vital role in national development.

The ceremony gathered a wide group of senior figures and guests. Among those attending were Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court, Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President, and Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Chairman of National Anti-Narcotics Authority, alongside several sheikhs, dignitaries and families of the grooms.

The group wedding in Abu Dhabi formed part of wider preparations for the Year of Family 2026. The initiative focuses on celebrating core Emirati family values, such as solidarity and mutual support, and highlights the central part played by families in social stability and nation-building. The Qasr Al Hosn event translated these themes into practice through collective celebration and shared community participation.

Majalis Abu Dhabi, at the Citizens and Community Affairs Office in the Presidential Court, organised the mass wedding, in cooperation with the "Medeem" initiative of the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi. The programme included heritage activities such as traditional chants, poetry recitals and an aerial show, which helped connect the celebrations with Emirati cultural identity and community traditions.

Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development in Abu Dhabi, expressed gratitude to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for continued support to Emirati youth and families. Dr. Mugheer highlighted the importance of empowering young people, improving quality of life and easing family formation, noting that the President’s patronage of the group wedding reflects this ongoing commitment.

The grooms and their families voiced deep appreciation to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for generous patronage of the group wedding in Abu Dhabi. Participants said that this support gives young people confidence at the start of their family lives and encourages them to build stable households rooted in shared national values and community solidarity.

They also thanked His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for attending the ceremony and sharing the celebrations. Families and grooms stressed that His Highness’s presence reflects the strong connection between the UAE leadership and citizens, and shows clear concern for the stability, cohesion and wellbeing of the Emirati family, in line with the goals of the Year of Family 2026.
