Abu Dhabi Martial Arts Academy Becomes First In UAE To Achieve IMMAF Accreditation

The Abu Dhabi Martial Arts Academy (ADMA) has achieved a significant milestone by securing accreditation from the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF). This recognition positions ADMA as the first in the UAE to attain such international status, enabling its athletes to compete officially in both national and global tournaments.

ADMA offers training in various martial arts, including Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The academy focuses on improving athletes' mental and tactical abilities. It provides a well-rounded training environment with modern facilities, such as areas for ground fighting, a martial arts cage, and a gym for strength and endurance building.

Andrew Moshanov, IMMAF's Director of Sport Development, highlighted the federation's efforts in providing education and certification in the UAE. He stated, "IMMAF have been providing extensive education, training and coaching certification in UAE for a few years. ADMA is always at the forefront of these programmes, having by now the biggest number of internationally qualified coaches working under one roof and setting an example for the others."

Tarek Al Bahri, General Manager of ADMA, expressed pride in this achievement. He said it aligns with their vision to be the leading centre for developing mixed martial arts champions in the UAE. Al Bahri noted that this accomplishment allows them to train athletes who can compete at top levels locally and internationally.

Kerrith Brown, President of IMMAF, acknowledged the UAE's rising prominence as a hub for martial arts development in the Middle East. He remarked, "IMMAF is excited to be part of it, specifically been able to present educational values of the sport for the youth." This highlights IMMAF's commitment to nurturing young talent through educational initiatives.

The academy’s comprehensive approach ensures athletes receive top-notch training. With its state-of-the-art facilities and expert coaching staff, ADMA sets a benchmark for other institutions aiming for similar recognition. The accreditation not only boosts ADMA’s reputation but also enhances opportunities for its athletes on international stages.
