ADIO And Dustour Marine Partner To Elevate Abu Dhabi's Maritime And Tourism Sectors
The Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) has announced a strategic partnership with Dustour Marine Wooden Boats Trading Establishment to launch a new project aimed at enhancing the Emirate's coastal development. This initiative aligns with Abu Dhabi's broader goals for urban, social, recreational, and economic growth. The collaboration was formalized through a Musataha agreement during the second edition of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development’s (ADDED) Al Multaqa meetings, which focus on empowering the region's family offices for greater commercial success and expedited economic expansion.
Set in Rabadan, the Al Jaddaf project spans 79,595 sqm and is designed to offer a comprehensive sea paddle infrastructure suitable for boats. The project will feature facilities for boat maintenance and repair, a centre dedicated to boat transactions, a fishermen supplies shop, extensive parking, boat storage, a café, various retail outlets and restaurants, and a motel. Additionally, it will provide a berth for 36 boats.

Mansoor Al Bastaki, Head of Musataha at ADIO, expressed pride in the partnership with Dustour Marine Wooden Boats Trading Est., emphasizing the project's role in efficiently meeting the needs of fishermen and boat owners. He highlighted the project's importance in supporting maritime activities and promoting tourism within Abu Dhabi.
The initiative also aligns with the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council's Interim Coastal Development Guidelines, aimed at unlocking the Emirate's coastal potential and fostering compact, mixed-use communities that highlight its unique ecosystem and landscapes. Furthermore, it supports Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030, which aims to attract 39.3 million visitors and increase the sector's GDP contribution to AED90 billion by 2030.
Mousa Khalfan Faraj Al Mehairbi, Business Development Manager at Dustour Marine Wooden Boats Trading Est., shared insights on the project's broader implications. He noted that beyond serving local maritime needs, Al Jaddaf would feature a boat slipway and fuel station, positioning it as a comprehensive hub for residents and tourists alike. This development is expected to draw visitors interested in Abu Dhabi's maritime heritage and establish Rabdan as a focal point for investment in the yachting and boating industry.
ADIO's collaboration with government partners and investors continues to foster growth across various sectors in Abu Dhabi. Through its Musataha projects pipeline, ADIO aims to enable significant initiatives within the Emirate. The event also saw ADIO signing agreements with Mara Real Estate Development LLC – OPC, International Jubilee Private School - Sole Proprietorship LLC, and Aerotech Power for Real Estate Investments, further underscoring its commitment to driving economic growth in Abu Dhabi.
