Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards Celebrate Leading Marinas Across MENAT Region For 2024

Abu Dhabi Maritime, a division of AD Ports Group, has revealed the winners of the 2024 Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards (Marinas Edition). The announcement took place during the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show, in collaboration with the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC). This event highlighted remarkable accomplishments and innovative leadership among marinas in the Middle East, North Africa, and Türkiye.

D-Marin Göcek in Türkiye secured the gold award for Customer Experience. Dubai Creek in the UAE received silver, while Jeddah Yacht Club in Saudi Arabia earned bronze. In Employer Excellence, Palm Jumeirah Marina in the UAE took gold. Yas Marina and Aldar Marinas, both in the UAE, were awarded silver and bronze respectively.

2024 Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards Honour Top Marinas

Dubai Harbour in the UAE achieved gold for Health and Safety. Palm Jumeirah Marina followed with silver, and Emirates Palace Marina received bronze. Yas Marina was honoured with gold for Innovation. Dubai Harbour claimed silver, and The Pearl Island Marina in Qatar took bronze.

D-Marin Didim from Türkiye won gold for Sustainability. The Pearl Island Marina earned silver, while Ayla Marina in Jordan received bronze. The prestigious Outstanding Marina award went to D-Marin Turgutreis in Türkiye. D-Marin Göcek and D-Marin Didim also stood out with silver and bronze awards respectively.

A special recognition for Most Popular Marina was determined by public votes. Ayla Marina in Jordan topped this category. The Pearl Island Marina secured silver, while Abu Dhabi Marine claimed bronze. This year saw a significant increase in participation with 120 submissions from eight countries, tripling last year's entries.

Dr. Saif Al Nasri, Undersecretary of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, stated that these awards are crucial for advancing maritime services across Abu Dhabi and beyond. He emphasised their role in recognising achievements that enhance service quality through best practices in health, safety, sustainability, and innovation.

Captain Saif Al Mheiri, CEO of Abu Dhabi Maritime and Chief Sustainability Officer at AD Ports Group, explained that the awards aim to inspire progress within regional marinas by setting new excellence standards. These efforts contribute to positioning Abu Dhabi as a leading global maritime hub.

The growing interest underscores the programme's importance to the regional maritime industry. Such recognition not only celebrates current successes but also encourages future advancements within this vital sector.
