Abu Dhabi Marathon Village 2025 Welcomes Thousands At Zayed Sports City With Festive Activities

The Abu Dhabi Marathon Village 2025, organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and sponsored by ADNOC, has been a major attraction at Zayed Sports City since its opening on 8th December. This venue serves as the focal point for runners and the public leading up to the seventh Abu Dhabi Marathon scheduled for 13th December.

The village is open daily from 15:00 to 22:00, with extended hours on race day from 05:00 to 13:00. This schedule allows visitors ample time to enjoy various activities. It offers a vibrant programme of sports and entertainment suitable for all ages, creating a festive atmosphere where participants can collect their race kits.

Visitors can engage in fitness classes, yoga sessions, and workout activities designed for all skill levels. Children have access to zones filled with games and interactive experiences. Live music and artistic performances add to the celebratory mood, making it an enjoyable experience for everyone.

Pavilions set up by sponsors and partners display the latest in sports, health, and fitness products. Participants can pick up their Nike race shirts after registration and view this year’s unique medals, which feature the marathon course map.

The village plays a significant role in fostering community spirit by encouraging sports participation and promoting an active lifestyle. It provides a dedicated space for visitors and runners to immerse themselves in the pre-race excitement.

Talal Al Hashemi, Executive Director of the Events Sector at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, emphasised that the village is crucial to the marathon experience. He stated that it offers an integrated environment for runners, families, and visitors while reflecting the event’s global stature and focus on health, activity, and community engagement.

Pre-Race Highlights

A pre-race press conference is scheduled at the village on 11th December at 16:00. This event will feature top international runners who will share insights into their preparations and expectations with the media.
