Abu Dhabi Unveils No-Code AI-in-a-Box Platform To Empower Government Employees At GITEX Global 2025
Abu Dhabi has introduced a no-code 'AI-in-a-box' platform, allowing government employees to create AI solutions. This initiative is part of a larger clean-energy collaboration with Google Cloud EMEA. The emirate aims to become the first AI-native government globally by 2027. On the third day of GITEX Global 2025 at Dubai World Trade Centre, Abu Dhabi announced six strategic partnerships in areas like sustainable energy and digital infrastructure.
The Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi (DGE) is leading these efforts. Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al Kuttab, Chairman of DGE, stated, "We’re democratising AI across government. Every employee will soon have the tools to build intelligent solutions for their communities. Combined with our clean energy partnerships, we’re proving that sustainable innovation and digital transformation go hand in hand."

The AI-in-a-box platform, developed with UnifyApps, allows Abu Dhabi Government employees to create AI applications without coding skills. This tool integrates with existing systems and will be available across all entities by Q2 2026. It aims to revolutionise how public servants provide services to citizens.
In support of this initiative, DGE has partnered with AWS and Oracle to offer specialised training in cybersecurity and data management. These programmes are integrated with the Tomouh 2.0 leadership platform, enhancing employee skills in AI technologies.
The Department of Energy (DOE) has revealed three new collaborations focused on sustainable infrastructure for Abu Dhabi's AI transformation. These efforts align with the emirate's Net Zero 2050 goals while expanding its digital capabilities.
Through a partnership with Google Cloud, DOE will use AI and machine learning to enhance renewable energy integration within the power grid. SPACE42 will utilise satellite imagery and geospatial AI for energy sector improvements, including water management and infrastructure monitoring.
Enhancing Public Services
The TAMM super-app has added two service categories, offering over 1,100 integrated public and private services on one platform. The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) integration allows residents to manage investments and view real-time market data through TAMM.
Additionally, a partnership with Emirates Driving Company (EDC) brings driver-training services onto the platform. This includes defensive driving courses and eco-friendly programmes, simplifying the process from enrolment to licence acquisition.
Future Innovations at GITEX 2025
The partnerships unveiled highlight Abu Dhabi's comprehensive approach to becoming an AI-native government. By combining workforce empowerment with sustainable infrastructure and intelligent services, the emirate is setting a precedent for future governance models.
As GITEX 2025 continues until October 17, further innovations from the Abu Dhabi Government are expected. These developments aim to showcase how AI-driven governance can provide smarter and more sustainable services for everyone.
