ADJD Schedules Virtual Visitation To Inmates During Ramadan Via Nafidhaty App
The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has recently announced the implementation of a new system for remote visitations to inmates within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. This initiative, facilitated through the "Nafidhaty" (My Window) visitation app, is set to operate from Monday to Friday during the holy month of Ramadan, catering to both male and female inmates.
For those interested in utilizing this service, the ADJD has streamlined the application process. Applications for remote visitations can now be submitted electronically via the Abu Dhabi Government Services website (TAMM), accessible at https://www.tamm.abudhabi/ar-ae or www.adpolice.gov.ae. Upon approval, applicants will receive an SMS message detailing the scheduled date and designated police station for conducting the remote visit.

In line with existing regulations, the ADJD has outlined specific visitation schedules. Family and relatives of both male and female inmates are permitted to schedule visits from the onset of Ramadan between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Additionally, Thursdays have been exclusively reserved for visiting female inmates at Al Ain Correction and Rehabilitation Centres, with sessions running from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. Furthermore, embassies and legal representatives have been allocated time slots on Fridays from 9:30 to 11:30 am for conducting their visitations.
This initiative by the ADJD represents a significant step towards modernizing and facilitating communication between inmates and their families, legal representatives, and respective embassies. By leveraging technology through the "Nafidhaty" app, the department aims to maintain essential social connections while adhering to regulatory standards and ensuring the well-being of all parties involved.
