Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Boosts Global Education With AED 3 Million Donation
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) has made a significant donation of AED 3 million to the Mothers’ Endowment campaign, an initiative spearheaded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. This generous contribution underscores ADIB's commitment to supporting educational initiatives that aim to empower underprivileged communities worldwide. The campaign, organized by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), seeks to establish a AED 1 billion endowment fund dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for millions globally.
The Mothers’ Endowment campaign is designed to honor mothers and promote values such as respect for parents, kindness, compassion, and solidarity. It also aims to reinforce the UAE's position as a leader in humanitarian efforts by creating a sustainable source of support for education and empowerment projects. These projects will be executed in collaboration with various humanitarian organizations, targeting individuals lacking access to essential educational resources.

Mohamed Abdelbary, ADIB Acting Group CEO, expressed his admiration for the campaign, highlighting it as a continuation of MBRGI's impactful charitable endeavors that have positively affected the lives of tens of millions around the world. Abdelbary emphasized the importance of education as a cornerstone of MBRGI’s efforts and lauded the Mothers’ Endowment campaign as a practical manifestation of this focus.
ADIB's donation during the holy month of Ramadan reflects the bank's dedication to supporting the UAE's charitable activities, particularly those aimed at enhancing educational access for disadvantaged communities. Education is viewed by ADIB as the most effective means of assisting these communities in improving their circumstances.
