Abu Dhabi Sees 200 Inmates Released As Donors Clear Debts During Ramadan

In a significant move reflecting community solidarity, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has facilitated the release of 200 financially distressed inmates from rehabilitation and correctional centres. This initiative was made possible through the generous contributions of various donors, who stepped in to settle the debts of nationals and residents facing financial difficulties. This act of kindness underscores the strong sense of community cooperation and the importance of humanitarian efforts in strengthening social cohesion within the UAE.

Counselor Yousef Saeed Alabri, Under-Secretary of the ADJD, highlighted the department's dedication to fostering community initiatives. These efforts align with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department. Alabri emphasized that such initiatives are integral to the UAE's commitment to humanitarian and charitable work, prioritizing human rights.

This initiative is a testament to the UAE's enduring legacy of giving and its emphasis on humanitarian values.

This act of generosity by donors and the coordinated efforts by the ADJD underscore a broader commitment to social welfare and human dignity within the UAE. It reflects a deep-rooted culture of giving and solidarity that transcends mere financial assistance, aiming instead to rehabilitate lives and restore hope among those facing hardships. As these former inmates return to their families, this initiative serves as a reminder of the power of community support in effecting positive change in society.
