Abu Dhabi To Host Final Round Of Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship In October 2025

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation is set to host the final round of the Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship at Mubadala Arena, Abu Dhabi, from 10th-12th October. This event marks the conclusion of an eight-round series where champions in both Gi and No Gi categories will be determined. The championship has been a platform for discovering new talent and building a strong base of athletes capable of representing the UAE internationally.

More than 2,500 male and female athletes will participate in this final round, making it the largest since the championship began in 2024. The competition will kick off with under-18, adults, and masters divisions on the first day. The second day will feature under-14 and under-16 categories, while the final day will see under-12 and children's categories compete. Organisers anticipate a weekend filled with intense action and excitement.

Final Round of Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Abu Dhabi

Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, highlighted that this final round is a significant milestone in the championship's journey. He stated, "This round represents the culmination of a full season of dedication, persistence and competition. It reflects the wise leadership’s vision to advance jiu-jitsu and strengthen its presence across the nation." His words underscore the importance of this event in promoting jiu-jitsu within the country.

The championship also plays a crucial role in fostering community ties by bringing families together through sports. The increasing participation throughout all rounds indicates growing public awareness of sports as vital for shaping future generations and instilling national values. This social aspect adds another layer of significance to the event beyond just athletic competition.

In addition to thrilling matches, attendees can enjoy various entertainment and cultural activities organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank. These include artistic performances, heritage displays, family activities, and interactive experiences designed to engage spectators beyond just watching jiu-jitsu bouts.

The Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club has already clinched the No-Gi title. However, fierce competition is expected for the Gi title among Baniyas Jiu-Jitsu Club, Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu Club, Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club, and M.O.D UAE. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see which club will emerge victorious as new champions are crowned.
