Abu Dhabi Set To Host The World Kickboxing Championship In November 2025
The World Association of Kickboxing Organisations (WAKO) and the UAE Muaythai and Kickboxing Federation (UAEMKFED) are set to host the World Kickboxing Championship Seniors and Masters in Abu Dhabi. Scheduled from 21st to 30th November 2025 at ADNEC Arena, this event marks a historic moment as it will be the first time the championship is held outside Europe.
This prestigious championship positions Abu Dhabi as a leading destination for martial arts, attracting over 2,000 participants from 150 countries. The event promises to be the largest and most inclusive kickboxing championship ever organised, uniting top athletes from around the globe.

The competition will span nine days, featuring intense matches in both Tatami and Ring disciplines. Additionally, it will include Masters and Para-Kickboxing categories. The official programme comprises daily qualifications, semi-finals, and finals across all disciplines.
On Sunday, 23rd November 2025, at 17:00, ADNEC Arena will host the Opening Ceremony. This event will welcome global delegations and dignitaries, highlighting the UAE’s dedication to promoting combat sports internationally. The Grand Finals and Awarding Ceremonies are scheduled for 28th and 29th November.
Ali Khouri, a Board Member of UAEMKFED and Executive Board Member of WAKO, stated that hosting the championship in Abu Dhabi is a significant achievement for the UAE. He emphasised that this edition represents a new chapter in kickboxing history, showcasing the nation's commitment to peace and unity through sport.
Khouri further noted that they are collaborating with WAKO and partners to ensure an exceptional championship. This effort aims to highlight Abu Dhabi's world-class capabilities and its emerging role as a global hub for martial arts. Delegations will depart on 30th November after the event concludes.
