Abu Dhabi will host the Games of the Future in December 2025, marking a significant milestone as the first Middle Eastern city to do so. The event will take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) over six days, featuring top athletes in competitions that blend physical sports with technology-driven video games.

Al Taher also mentioned new initiatives to enhance esports experiences for players and enthusiasts by adopting the phygital system.

Nis Hatt, CEO of Phygital International, stated that choosing Abu Dhabi for Games of the Future 2025 is a major milestone for the event's global journey. The event will be organised by Aspire, known for its successful track record in delivering high-profile events. They will collaborate with Ethara, an Abu Dhabi-based company renowned for managing international standard events. Stephane Timpano, CEO of Aspire, stressed supporting Games of the Future 2025 as it serves as a global platform where sport, technology, and imagination converge.

Timpano noted that hosting this event aligns with the UAE’s commitment to shaping future sports and technology landscapes while enhancing its global innovation profile.
