Abu Dhabi Government Showcases Commitment To AI-Native Services At GITEX Global 2025
The Department of Government Enablement (DGE) is set to lead Abu Dhabi Government's participation at GITEX from 13-17 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This marks the 14th year of involvement, highlighting the emirate's dedication to becoming the first AI-native government as part of its Digital Strategy for 2025-2027.
Over 30 government and academic institutions will collaborate under DGE's coordination to offer an immersive experience for visitors. The Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion will feature 55 projects showcasing AI's real-world benefits across the emirate. Notable projects include TAMM 4.0, Smart Investigator and AI Supervisor by Abu Dhabi Police, and Smart Hotel Check-In by the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT), which uses facial recognition for seamless hotel check-ins.

Many projects will debut publicly, allowing visitors to explore six VR personas representing different community roles in Abu Dhabi. These include students, business owners, working parents, international tourists, investors, and government employees. The Personal AI Recruitment Companion will streamline hiring processes across government sectors.
QMobility’s AI-powered parking pilot enables barrier-free parking without tickets or manual payments. Rayah, a mobile app by the Department of Education and Knowledge, assists parents in tracking their children's academic progress. Sahatna’s health services will be among four new TAMM Spaces introduced.
Abu Dhabi Government aims to outline its journey towards an AI-native government through over 80 strategic partnerships with global technology partners enhancing the emirate’s digital ecosystem. Wesam Lootah, Director General at DGE, stated: "To date, we have assessed almost 400 AI-powered solutions across Abu Dhabi Government and have now deployed more than 100 of the most impactful."
These initiatives aim to empower public sector workers to tackle complex challenges and anticipate societal needs. Lootah added that these efforts pave the way toward their vision for 2027 as the world’s first AI-native government.
Commitment to Innovation
Dr Mohamed Al Askar, Director General of TAMM, highlighted TAMM's growth over the past year with more than 1,100 services developed through collaboration with over 90 public and private sector partners. "TAMM stands as a testament to what cross-government partnership can achieve," he said.
The latest version of TAMM is described as smarter and more seamless than ever before. It represents their most ambitious effort yet in delivering intuitive AI-powered services.
Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al Kuttab, Chairman of DGE, emphasised designing public services around people's needs: "In Abu Dhabi, we are designing every public service around people's needs." He explained that embracing an AI-native mindset involves reimagining government operations to be more intuitive and responsive.

By showcasing innovative projects and deepening global partnerships, Abu Dhabi demonstrates how AI-driven innovation can create a smarter and future-ready government while setting benchmarks for digital excellence worldwide.
