Abu Dhabi Government Partners With Microsoft And G42 To Enhance Digital Strategy And Services
The Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi (DGE) has announced a major collaboration with Microsoft and Core42, a G42 company. This partnership aims to establish a sovereign cloud system to enhance government service efficiency and innovation. The agreement was formalised in the presence of key figures, including H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Khaldoon Al Mubarak.
The collaboration will create a robust sovereign cloud computing environment. This system is designed to handle over 11 million daily digital interactions among Abu Dhabi Government entities, citizens, residents, and businesses. Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al Kuttab, Satya Nadella, and Peng Xiao were instrumental in sealing this partnership.

Abu Dhabi's vision is to become the first fully AI-native government by 2027. This ambition focuses on making government services more efficient and accessible while ensuring transparency and security for businesses. The initiative also aims to foster innovation within the public sector workforce.
Satya Nadella remarked on the transformative potential of AI in government operations. He stated, "AI will transform how governments operate and serve their citizens everywhere, and Abu Dhabi is leading the way." This partnership sets a benchmark for AI adoption in public sectors globally.
Abu Dhabi plans to automate all government processes with an AED13 billion investment in digital infrastructure under its Digital Strategy 2025-2027. This strategy includes deploying over 200 AI-driven solutions to enhance public service delivery, operational productivity, and environmental sustainability.
TAMM 3.0 exemplifies these innovations by reducing offline customer visits by 90% and enabling over 73% of transactions to be instantaneous. Such advancements highlight the emirate's commitment to digital transformation.

Peng Xiao emphasised G42’s dedication to supporting Abu Dhabi’s AI-native vision through Core42’s Sovereign Public Cloud. He stated that this initiative ensures data sovereignty while leveraging hyperscale innovation for a resilient digital infrastructure across Abu Dhabi government entities.
"This agreement marks a pivotal step in G42’s commitment," said Peng Xiao, highlighting the global benchmark set for innovation through this collaboration.
