Abu Dhabi Global Healthcare Week Promotes Excellence And Strategic Partnerships In Health Sector
The Abu Dhabi Global Healthcare Week serves as a strategic venue to promote excellence in healthcare, explore future opportunities and challenges, and foster partnerships to enhance global healthcare systems. Participants highlighted the UAE's advanced healthcare infrastructure and its commitment to international cooperation for sector development and workforce upskilling.
Dr. Hesham Ahmed Abdullah, Senior Vice President at GSK, emphasised the event's role in strengthening healthcare systems and fostering partnerships for advanced medical services. He welcomed a new agreement between GSK, the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office to establish a Multi-Omics Research Institute in Abu Dhabi.

The 2025 edition of the event is themed "Towards Longevity, Redefining Health and Wellbeing," focusing on proactive, personalised care models for better community health outcomes. The event aims to advance holistic care approaches that improve overall health standards.
Boro Dropulić from Caring Cross described the event as ideal for international collaboration and long-term medical innovation. He stressed the importance of cooperation among public and private stakeholders to ensure integrated, safe, and advanced care delivery.
The 2025 Abu Dhabi Global Healthcare Week will address four main themes: Longevity and Precision Health; Health System Resilience & Sustainability; Digital Health & AI; and Investment in Life Sciences. It will feature over 200 speakers and 1,900 delegates from around the world.
Yasmin Mitwally from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society UAE praised the event's focus areas and strong presence of leading medical professionals. She noted it reflects the UAE's commitment to global healthcare leadership through impactful partnerships and sustained excellence.
Dr. Abdullah highlighted that advancing omics sciences will accelerate cancer treatment breakthroughs globally. This progress is expected to support local, regional, and international advancements in healthcare.
