Abu Dhabi Global Health Week 2025 Opens With Focus On Longevity And Health Innovations
H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, attended the opening of the second Abu Dhabi Global Health Week (ADGHW). Organised by the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi, the event runs until 17 April at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. The theme is ‘Towards Longevity: Redefining Health and Wellbeing’.
The ceremony featured a speech by Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi. Emirati talent showcased cultural and musical performances. An immersive experience combined performance and technology to tell a story about longevity and health's role in creating hopeful futures for individuals and nations.
H.H. Sheikh Khaled toured the exhibition, reviewing healthcare innovations from over 150 exhibitors representing 90 countries. He highlighted the importance of ADGHW in showcasing solutions that enhance global wellbeing. This year's focus is on longevity and healthy living, reflecting Abu Dhabi’s commitment to emerging healthcare trends.
An opening panel discussed precision health's role in shaping a healthier future, health system resilience, sustainability, AI's role, and digital health. Participants included Dr. Peter Attia, a physician focused on longevity medicine; Leymah Gbowee, Nobel Peace Prize winner; and Peng Xiao, Group CEO of G42.
Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori stated that under wise leadership directives, ADGHW reflects Abu Dhabi’s vision to transform health by creating an inclusive platform for stakeholders to enhance health outcomes. "The event stands as a borderless community dedicated to advancing the future of health," he said.
ADGHW 2025 will host over 200 speakers, 15,000 visitors, and 1,900 delegates in three days. Healthcare leaders from around the world will participate. The Forum @ ADGHW unites leaders from government, industry, research, and academia to address critical healthcare challenges.
Encouraging Startups and Innovation
The StartUp Zone will be a hub for collaboration where startups can pitch ideas to investors. Winners of the Smart Health Hackathon will be announced during the event. By supporting initiatives like this hackathon, ADGHW provides entrepreneurs with opportunities to showcase innovations.
The prestigious ADGHW Innovation Awards will celebrate individuals and organisations driving innovation and collaboration in healthcare. This fosters a culture of excellence that shapes future health advancements.
